Why were we engaged?
Some people may not be aware that the University of Western Australia (UWA) is host to some of the most influential researchers in the world. In 2017, the university was seeking to expand its diverse knowledge base and aimed to recruit 50 new innovative researchers immediately to sustain the students wild imaginations. The combined efforts of these researchers can be attributed to raising UWA’s reputation as one of the world’s leading research institutions.
OKMG was engaged to produce the photography and video content for the campaign ‘Be Inspired’. Working tirelessly for 10 days, our in-house photography and video production team acted simultaneously to capture the true essence of these UWA academics and executives.
Execution and delivery
Images were required to be of the highest quality and composition, taking into account UWA’s strict style guide for graphic design, themes, and aesthetic qualities for a long-lasting campaign. The full set of images when viewed together needed to look consistent and coherent with the overall UWA brand.
A series of short, effective videos were produced to convey the passion of these inspiring individuals and attract others to carry out their life’s work at UWA campuses.
This content would also be utilised for online advertisements and within print collateral that was distributed nationally and internationally.

UWA re-entered the top 100 Universities in the world shortly after the campaign, due to the calibre of researchers that UWA successfully acquired.
