A fast-casual fish & chip shop that breaks the rules.
Our client approached OKMG to develop the concept of a new venue which heroed a core offering of affordable, no-fuss fish & chips. A place for anyone, any time of day, any season. Oh and did we mention that there’s free ice-cream? We took this blank slate challenge on with great enthusiasm in an all hands on deck to concept, design, develop and launch this exciting venue for Nov 2019.

An open brief is often the toughest to get right… but we feel pretty darn good about where we ended up.
Naming & Brand Identity
The idea was solid, the offering was clear and the client knew exactly what they wanted customers to experience when they walked through the doors. Working closely with the client, we went through a rigorous naming workshop to select a name that was not only representative of this feeling but also unique and available! After several workshops, ‘Twin Fin Fish & Chips’ was born. From here we progressed into building out a full brand identity encompassing: Taglines, pillars, essence, personality, tone , voice and Unique Value Proposition (UVP).
Brand Design & Development
After growing the fun and approachable identity on paper, it was time to bring this to life visually. With our solid brand identity top of mind, we developed a full suite of core logos, graphic devices, treatments, colours, fonts which we felt conveyed the voice of this exciting new restaurant. As well as application digitally in website and marketing channels, we designed and managed suppliers and quality assurance of the physical in-store brand presence: all shop signage (including a 2.4m LED outdoor sign), ACM flags, wall vinyls, digital TV screens, t-shirts, hats and menus.
Website Design & Development
Content is king and our biggest challenge is to create and deliver this before the store even opened! We directed and produced the specific street-eats style of photography across all menu items, store fit-out, surrounds and candid campaign content. Our creative team worked closely with our in-house video department to concept and deliver a hero launch video that truly spoke with the brand voice and tone, kicking off the first digital campaign, building brand awareness and getting people through the doors.
A successful digital campaign strategy is all about testing and learning from insights in order to determine the most effective way to reach your audience. Our purpose here is to define future-state and drive the digital funnel conversion strategy in alignment with business growth objectives. Starting with a digital account setup process including Facebook, instagram, google my business and yelp account setup, campaign structure, ad campaigns and go-live / launch planning.
